A record-high 136,000 people used the Merchari bike rental service in Fukuoka City in September. The Tokyo-based operating company Neuet released the results at a meeting on October 10 and announced the introduction of electric bicycles in the summer of 2020. Additional rental areas near Nishijin Station, Yoshizuka Station, and more were also announced. The CEO of the company said he targets to make the business profitable within a few years.
