Mitsubishi Electric has completed a new factory in Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, for the assembly and inspection of power semiconductor modules. A completion ceremony was held on April 15 with about 80 people, including company and local government officials, in attendance. Power semiconductor modules are used in products such as electric vehicles and are expected to see growing demand as energy efficiency becomes more important across industries. The new facility will consolidate assembly and inspection processes in one location, with the company aiming to improve production efficiency by up to 40% in the future. Mitsubishi Electric invested about ¥10 billion in the project and plans to begin full-scale operations in October. Source: KBC News / RKB News
