On Jan. 22 Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. acquired the trust beneficiary rights to the land buildings at Hawks Town Mall, whose storefronts are currently half empty. The company said it will continue running the mall in its existing format and indicated that any future plans for the site were up in the air. The site was acquired from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, but the purchase price was not made public.
