Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Gion will open on June 27. The 13-story hotel sits in within walking distance of JR Hakata Station and Gion Subway Station, useful both for business people and tourists. A total of 300 rooms on the 2nd to 12th floors are designed for groups of two persons or more. With the concept of “weaving memories of traditions in good old Hakata,” each floor is uniquely decorated using motifs of Hakata-ori weavings, traditional townhouses, Hakata Gion Yamakasa floats and more. The hotel restaurants, Uoden, and Hakata#092 run by Toriden will serve local fare. A spacious spa on the top floor will also be available for hotel guests. Source: Mitsui Fudosan, 6/18/2019
