A 30 year-old residential block near Hakata Station has been turned into a site offering accommodation for short term visitors and long term tenants. Extensive refurbishments to the existing apartments have meant that Montan Hakata can now offer hotel service for tourists as well as rooms for people who want to stay in Fukuoka for an extended period of time. A hotel-style management service will be installed in case any short-term visitors have issues with longer term resident neighbors. The first floor includes a communal space, the hotel reception, a dining area, lobby, and open-style kitchen. The communal areas are designed for use not only of the tourists and residents, but also the local community. Forty-eight out of the 94 rooms will function as hotel rooms. A limited number of dormitory style rooms will be available from ¥3,000 per night, while the family rooms will start from ¥15,800 per night. Source: Minpaku.biz, 10/11/2017
