Discount retail chain Mr. Max will open a shop in Tenjin on Jan. 21. The shop, which will be smaller than its suburban big box stores, will primarily target foreign tourists and offer a select range of cosmetics and foods. A company official said the opening of the small shop will be an “experiment” for the company. The Tenjin shop is the latest in a series of moves by Mr. Max to attract more business from tourists.
