Nakasu Chinya closed on July 27. The restaurant was a long-time favorite spot in Fukuoka, serving quality sukiyaki dishes made of locally-sourced Wagyu beef. On the closing day, local fans gathered in front of the restaurant in happi coats and marked the end of the restaurant’s 71-year history with a chorus of Iwai-uta, a local festival song.
