The national government plans to develop a new educational base in Kyushu to train more semiconductor engineers. An industry-government-academia organization would launch by March with the participation of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC,) Kumamoto University, and other local technical colleges. Curriculums would directly reflect the companies’ demands for skills and mindsets to let new engineers immediately contribute to the industry. Source: Yomiuri
