NCB Hall Opens at New Headquarters

NCB Hall opened on June 8 in the basement of Nishinippon City Bank’s new headquarters building near Hakata Station, ahead of the complex’s scheduled opening later this summer. The venue is part of Fukuoka City’s Hakata Connected redevelopment project, which aims to strengthen activity around the station area. Around 400 guests attended the opening ceremony, where bank president Hideyuki Murakami said the hall was intended to become a place for cultural experiences and community interaction. Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro XIII performed the inaugural dance, “Ennen no Mai.” The hall features extensive use of timber sourced from Kyushu and can accommodate up to 398 people. With movable seating and stage configurations, the facility is designed for cultural performances, exhibitions, and business events. Source: NHK News / TNC News
