New Digital Currency Available in Huis Ten Bosch Next Spring

Huis Ten Bosch announced on June 1 that they will introduce a new electronic currency for use at their facility this December. The Ten Bosch coin will help make financial transactions easier and improve efficiency in the park. Services within the premises will stop accepting cash from next April. One Ten Bosch coin will be worth ¥1. Visitors will be able to use a smartphone application, which can be downloaded at the entrance gate, or use an IC card to make electronic payments for meals and shopping. The park is looking at the possibility of holding events that give people the chance to acquire coins. They are also considering introducing automatic, unstaffed cash registers at some point in the future. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 6/1/2018
