Nishitetsu has announced that the large digital screen in the Solaria Stage building, currently under renovation since October 2024, will be renamed “SOLARIA DAIGAMEN” and begin operations on February 10, 2025.
The name combines “Solaria” from its previous designation and “Daigamen” (meaning “large screen”), reflecting its transformation into a new visual landmark in Tenjin. Positioned near the north exit of Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, the upgraded screen will offer enhanced visibility and serve as a key information hub.
To mark its launch, Nishitetsu has collaborated with Marine World Uminonakamichi to display a 3D visual featuring Cape penguins appearing to leap from an aquarium, utilizing optical illusion effects.
Measuring 72 square meters, “SOLARIA DAIGAMEN” will be the largest station-building screen in Kyushu, operating daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In addition to commercial advertisements, it will broadcast public announcements and emergency information.
Nishitetsu plans to use the screen to further enhance Tenjin’s appeal, coinciding with the upcoming opening of the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. Source: Nishitetsu
