New Dinosaur Museum Opens in Nagasaki

A new tourist facility, “Nagasaki City Dinosaur Museum,” opened on October 29, 2021, in the Nomozaki district of Nagasaki City. About 1 hour by car from Nagasaki Station. About 180 kinds of fossil specimens are exhibited in the main exhibition space, and you can observe them from various angles, including the chance to touch the fossils of actual Triceratops horns, not replicas. Another highlight is a replica tyrannosaurus skeleton measuring about 13 m (nickname: Trix) exhibited at the National Museum of Natural History in Leiden, the Netherlands, a sister city of Nagasaki.
