Fukuoka City plans to establish a new facility on the former Kyushu University Hakozaki Campus to conduct scientific research on effective educational methods and policies. The center will analyze data from city schools to study academic performance and absenteeism, working in collaboration with universities and companies. A “classroom of the future” equipped with the latest technology is also planned, along with live broadcasts of lectures and classes for city schools. The facility is expected to open after 2029.
