New Electric Scooter Share Service in Fukuoka

Shin Idemitsu launched a new electric scooter-sharing service on November 1 to reduce the burden on the environment, diversify means of transportation, and increase convenience. Currently, 24 electric scooters are available at eight dedicated ports in Fukuoka City, including Tenjin, near Hakata Station, and Marinoa City Fukuoka. The usage fee starts at 1.2 yen per minute. The hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the service is available to those over 18 years old with a driver’s license. In the future, Shin Idemitsu plans to install more than 100 dedicated ports, aiming to make the service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Source: Shin-Idemitsu / TNC
