Thai-based Vietjet Air will open a new route connecting Fukuoka and Bangkok. The route has been unserviced since March 2020, when Thai Airways announced the temporary cancellation of its Fukuoka flights due to the pandemic. Vietjet Air has already received approval from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism to operate three round trips per week from Mar. 28. The first flight is expected sometime in June when Japanese immigration rules are relaxed. Source: Asia Travel Note / Yomiuri
