New Hakata-Busan Ferry “Queen Beetle”

JR Kyushu Jet Ferry announced on August 27 that they will start running a new boat between Hakata and Busan from July 2020. The body of the high-speed Queen Beetle will be painted red and will be considerably larger than the company’s existing ferries. The boat will have 502 seats and will replace one of the three Beetle ferries currently in use. The service is expected to take approximately three hours and 40 minutes. The larger size of the boat means that the journey will take around 30 minutes longer than usual. Detailed information about the schedule and fares will be announced in the summer of 2019.
