Four local railway companies in Kumamoto Prefecture will debut a joint train pass to promote regional restoration. The special ticket combines one-day passes for Kumamoto Electric Railway, Kumagawa Railway (Higonishimura ~ Yunomae), and Minami-aso Railway (Nakamatsu ~ Takamori,) as well as a single ticket for Hisatsu Orange Railway (Yatsushiro ~ Sashiki.) While the restoration process from the great earthquake and torrential rainfall continues in some neighboring areas, the rail companies aim to reactivate local tourism hand in hand. Limited 500 ticket books will be on sale online and at some stations at the price of ¥6,000/ea (*Part of the ticket sales will be used for management costs and donations.) Valid until Aug. 31, 2022.
