New Logistics Center Opened as Base for Expanding Exports to Asia

The Fukuoka Logistics Center was completed this month near Fukuoka Airport by Nishitetsu (Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd.), a logistics company. The logistics center in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, is positioned as a central base for promoting the expansion of exports of agricultural products and semiconductors from Kyushu to Asia. Nishitetsu has five logistics centers in Japan, including Tokyo and Osaka, and this is the first such center in Kyushu. The center’s total area is approximately 10,000 square meters, with a four-story building that serves as a warehouse. The third floor of the building is equipped with a huge refrigerated warehouse to maintain the quality of agricultural products and liquor exported from Kyushu and wine and chocolate imported from overseas, which require temperature control.
