New Multilingual Electronic Information Boards In Tenjin

The vicinity maps renewal project launched by Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau at Tenjin Station was completed on June 12. The renewal project was supposed to finish on May 1, but was delayed once after a panel experienced an electrical overload. The multilingual electric vicinity maps, which are 1 m high and 2 m wide, are positioned at the central and west exits. Foreign tourists can choose between Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Korean. The touch screen panel monitor shows the facilities near the train station and transit routes. In addition, tourists can ask the board to show only the transit routes for Daizaifu from Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station. Source: Yomiuri Shimbun, 6/13/2018
