JR Kyushu named the new shinkansen (bullet train), which will run between Nagasaki and Takeo-onsen ‘Kamome.’ The six-car train (N700S) will feature an exterior and interior designed by Eiji Mitooka. It will carry a maximum of 391 passengers, and due the short distance it will not offer premium “green seats.” The name Kamome Is currently used on an express train between Hakata and Nagasaki. That train will be renamed “Relay Kamome.” Source: Nikkei / JR Kyushu
