New Nishitetsu-Run Retirement Home in Kurume

On March 22, Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd., (Nishitetsu) announced plans to build a residential-style retirement home in Kurume City. The new Suncarna Kurume will be located two minutes away from Shikenjo-Mae Station and have a total of 306 rooms across 14 floors, making it one of Kyushu’s biggest facilities designed for elderly care. Management will use IoT technology to provide a personalized service for their residents. The facility will receive a ¥6.8 billion investment and is scheduled for completion by April 2020.
