Kyushu Electric Power and Fukuoka Financial Group announced on February 5 that their jointly developed office building in central Fukuoka will be named Denki Building West Wing. Construction began the same day, with completion scheduled for March 2028. The 15-story building will feature energy-efficient glass, advanced air-conditioning systems, and the use of renewable energy to achieve net-zero carbon dioxide emissions. Retail space will be located on the first floor, with flexible office layouts above. The project replaces the former site of the Juhachi-Shinwa Bank’s Fukuoka Central Branch and reflects growing emphasis on sustainable redevelopment in the city center.
