Tsujishima in Amakusa, Kumamoto, known for dolphin-watching tours, announced it will launch a new tourism program this summer with local fishermen serving as guides. In addition to dolphin watching, the program will include fishing and lessons in how to cook the fish caught. The local government hopes to develop this as an additional source of revenue for the local fishing industry, which is suffering from low harvests, low fish prices, and skyrocketing fuel costs.
