The Fukuoka City-based Nishi-Nippon City Bank has begun purchasing CO2 emission rights in concert with the convenience chain Lawson’s for the 314 ATMs is has placed at the chain’s outlets in Fukuoka Prefecture. They plan to acquire the rights for about 360 tons of emissions by the end of September. The bank is the first of 24 that have ATMs at Lawson’s to take such a step.
