Nishitetsu and NAVITIME Connect Train and Cycling Routes

Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) and NAVITIME Japan have launched a partnership linking Nishitetsu’s “Cycle Train” service on the Tenjin–Omuta Line with the Bicycle NAVITIME navigation app from November 6. The update lets cyclists view the entire Cycle Train route directly on the app map, showing stations where bikes can be brought onboard unfolded. Tapping a train icon reveals service hours, fares, booking details, and usage rules. The initiative—the first in Japan to integrate bicycle navigation with train operations—aims to make planning seamless for cyclists combining rail and road travel. Nishitetsu hopes to boost awareness and local tourism, while NAVITIME plans to expand the feature nationwide and add “Cycle Bus” information in the future. Source: Nishitetsu / Cycle NAVITIME
