Fukuoka City-based Nishi-Nippon Railway (Nishitetsu) revealed it has purchased land in the Ginza district of Tokyo with the intent of building a hotel on the site. The company said that falling land prices had made the purchase an affordable one for the company. They added that they plan on building an upscale establishment compatible with the neighborhood, but are not sure when construction would start.
