Nishitetsu Hotels will open the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Fukuoka Airport (tentativ name) in summer 2027, marking the company’s first hotel directly connected to an airport. The hotel will occupy the 5th to 11th floors of a new multi-use complex being developed at Fukuoka Airport’s domestic terminal. The 165-room hotel will offer seven different room types, including double and twin rooms, as well as larger accommodations for group travelers. Upper-floor rooms will provide views of the runway and airplanes, taking advantage of the airport-side location. The 5th floor will feature a large public bath, sauna, and fitness center, catering to business travelers and tourists.
The hotel will have direct access to the airport terminal, subway station, and bus terminal, ensuring convenient transportation options for guests. Fukuoka Airport’s passenger numbers have been increasing, with 2024 projected to set a new record. The recent opening of a second runway in March 2025 is expected to further drive growth. Nishitetsu Hotels aims to meet the rising demand for accommodations near the airport, particularly from early-morning flight passengers, business travelers, and international tourists. Nishitetsu currently operates 18 hotels in Japan and five overseas under multiple brands, including Solaria. The new hotel will be the second Solaria-branded property in Fukuoka, following Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Fukuoka in Tenjin. Source: Nishitetsu
