On April 12, Nishitetsu announced its financial results for the last fiscal year. Operating revenue was the highest ever, and operating income/loss and net income/loss were in the black for the first time in two years. According to Nishitetsu, consolidated operating revenue for the last fiscal year was 427,159 million yen, up 23.4% from the previous year. In addition to an increase in imports and exports handled in the international logistics business due to the improvement of the global economy, revenues from railroads and buses also exceeded the previous year’s level due to a recovery in demand for transportation.
