Nishitetsu to Take Over Mainichi Fukuoka Kaikan
Nishitetsu has purchased the Mainichi Fukuoka Kaikan building, which houses the Mainichi Shimbun Fukuoka headquarters and their own Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka. The building, which is located on Meiji-dori, is under consideration as the site of a new luxury hotel. The acquisition is seen as an significant step within the Tenjin Big Bang project.
