Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) released its group business plan for FY 2009, which calls for an investment in operations of 31.9 billion yen. It will be the company’s second-largest expenditure ever. Plans call for greater efforts to be expended in their international distribution business by expanding their overseas networks. They also will consider cutting back or eliminating unprofitable enterprises, such as their taxi business.
