Nishitetsu’s 110th Anniversary Commemorative Design

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd., (Nishitetsu) is celebrating their 110 year anniversary by featuring special commemorative designs on a selected buses and trains. The company also released a range of limited edition goods, including a ¥2,000 set that includes an original Nimoca IC card and a clear file to mark the event. The company’s six-carriage 3000 series train, which runs on the Tenjin Omuta Line, will be decorated with a range of famous sightseeing spots and scenery that are dotted along the route. The design of the popular “blue buses” that were in operation during the 1950s will appear on two vehicles in the Fukuoka and Kurume areas, while the exterior of a bus in the Kitakyushu area will be made to look like the trams that ran through the city during the 1980s.
