The Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry revealed the results of its survey that shows roughly 40% of the people in charge of small and medium-sized businesses in the prefecture haven’t given a thought to possible successors. In contrast, 44% say they have considered the problem, while 14% said they are thinking of shutting down the company when they retire.
