Odo Yacht Harbor Dubbed Sea Station

The Fukuoka City Yacht Harbor in Odo (Nishi Ward) has been designated as an Umi-no-Eki (“Sea Station”) by the Sea Station Network of Japan. Sea stations are oceanside rest areas where people can enjoy marine attractions, relax, or obtain information on nearby tourist attractions. Officially dubbed the Fukuoka-Odo Yacht Harbor Sea Station, Odo became Fukuoka Prefecture’s fourth Sea Station on Dec. 13. The yacht harbor can house up to 540 yachts and officials are aiming to use the recent designation to make the area more appealing to visitors who are not yacht owners.
