Office Vacancies in Fukuoka Up for Fifthe Consecutive Month

The vacancy rate for offices in Fukuoka City was 2.91% as of August 2020, increasing for the fifth consecutive month. According to a report by Tokyo-based office rental company, Miki Shoji Co., Ltd, the vacancy rate almost doubled for the area of Akasaka and Daimyo (5.29%) between January to August 2020. These standards are still low compared to other urban cities in Japan; however, the impact of the new coronavirus spread has made some companies leave or downsize their city offices.
