Fuji, the oldest Maasai giraffe in Japan, has died at the age of 19 years eight months. He was born and lived its life at the Hirakawa Zoological Park in Kagoshima. Fuji has fathered ten calves. The oldest giraffe is now an 18 year old in Kumamoto City Zoo. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun Dec 11.
