At the Fukuoka-based IT company Veldom, the CEO and other employees love onsen so much that they have started a new onsen initiative called “baspo”. Since 2016, 20 onsen and super sento in Fukuoka Pref. and one onsen in Saga Pref have joined the service. The basic plan (¥980/month) allows users to go to three onsen a month for free. The advanced plan (¥2,980) allows users unlimited usage of any of the onsen/super sento that have signed up to the baspo scheme. The plan is monthly and can be cancelled at any time.
