On Jan. 21, LCC Peach Aviation announced a new route between Fukuoka and Naha, Okinawa – to be launched this summer. Daily return flights on the new route begin 7/19, marking the low cost carrier airline’s 11th domestic route. Tickets are estimated to cost between ¥3,990~¥21,690. The new route is following a recent trend of Japanese domestic airlines releasing extra flights. JAL has added one return flight between Kitakyushu and Haneda – making a total of six return flights per day – as well as a number of extra flights between Fukuoka and Amami. StarFlyer also launches a new service between Fukuoka and Chubu, starting 3/30, with flights from ¥5,000~.
