Miyazaki Kotsu Co., Ltd. and JR Kyushu plan to develop two multi-purpose complexes around the west entrance of JR Miyazaki Station. Construction of the ¥10 billion project is expected to start in spring of 2019 in order to open the new facilities by autumn of 2020. The complexes will feature restaurants, office spaces, and cinemas. More detailed plans about the development will be announced later this year.
