Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Nishitetsu) revealed its plans to reconstruct Fukuoka Building sometime in 2018. The new structure will form an integral part of a wider development that will involve the adjoining commercial facilities such as Tenjin Core and Tenjin Vivre. The proposed reconstruction of the Fukuoka Building is part of the city’s Tenjin Big Bang project. Relaxation of height regulations for buildings in the center of the city has created strong incentives for developers to rebuild in the area.
