Police Patrol Ohashi Entertainment Area – Two More Infections at Kurume Nightclub – Prefecture Total now 612

On April 26, Fukuoka Prefecture announced 11 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections and the sixteenth death linked to the virus. The cumulative total for the Prefecture now stands at 612. As the region heads to the Golden Week holidays, authorities are requesting more businesses to limit their operations. The Minami Ward Police Department in Fukuoka City began warning local eateries to stay alert against corona shutdown-linked crimes. Police patrolled the commercial area in front of Ohashi Station at night, urging local bars and restaurants to take preventative measures such as securely locking their doors. Meanwhile, two more confirmed infections (a female dancer in her twenties and a male customer in his sixties) have been linked to the suspected cluster at the Mabini nightclub in Kurume City.
