Fukuoka Prefecture has been given Honda’s latest fuel-cell vehicle (FCV), the Clarity Fuel Cell, for use as an official vehicle. FCVs, which emit no exhaust fumes, run on electricity generated by a chemical reaction between hydrogen gas fuel and oxygen. This is the Prefecture’s third FCV and its first Honda. About 100 people were on hand for an unveiling at the Prefectural Office on Oct. 7. As of Oct. 7, there are 72 FCVs operating within the Prefecture. The Prefecture uses its official FCVs in test drives and other events to promote the widespread adoption of FCVs. Source: FIBA
