Of the 55 leading Kyushu-based, unlisted companies (excluding banks), 37, or 78%, posted revenue declines on their business reports for the year ended March 2010. Their recovery is lagging those of the larger companies nationwide. Cost reduction and other efforts did limit the number of companies that posted current profit declines or losses to 27, however.
