Fukuoka City is planning to set up phone charging stands at local subway stations and public facilities. The devices will also be installed at MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) facilities, such as Marine Messe and private complexes such as Canal City Hakata. The stands’ batteries will switch to emergency mode and charge mobile devices for free if a natural disaster occurs. The terminals will be compatible with iPhones, Androids, and Type-C chargers. The proposal was put forward to Fukuoka City by the company Mirai@. Source: Fukuoka City
