According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the rainy season ended in northern Kyushu on Jul. 13.. The region had less rainfall during the 2021 wet season than the average year. Also, the season ended 17 days earlier than last year. However, summer is when sudden and very heavy rainfalls can occur, and these may cause flooding, power outages, and landslides.
