The Fukuoka branch of Teikoku Databank released its sales rankings for the top 50 hotels in Kyushu and Okinawa in 2008. Their aggregate revenue rose 1.1% from the previous year to 209.4 billion yen. By prefecture, Okinawa had the most hotels in the top 50 with 18, followed by Fukuoka with 11 and Oita with five. Okinawa also had five hotels in the top 10. The leader was the Terrace Hotels of Naha, Okinawa, with sales of 22.8 billion yen.
