Regional Bankruptcies Down for First Time in Two Years

The Fukuoka Branch of Tokyo Shokoh Research released the results of its survey of corporate bankruptcies in the Kyushu-Okinawa region for the April-September period this year. The number of companies shutting their doors totaled 430, down 6.7% from the previous year. Their aggregate liabilities were 99.689 billion yen, a 30.4% drop.
