Regional Exports Swing to Increase

The Moji Customs Office reports that exports from the Kyushu region, which also includes Yamaguchi and Okinawa prefectures, rose 2.8% from the year-before period to 3.4472 trillion yen. This was the first increase in three terms. The increase in exports is attributed to the recovery of auto demand from overseas, which had fallen after the Tohoku disaster. This rise was supported by the exports to China and the United States in particular.
