The president of Huis Ten Bosch (HTB), Hideo Sawada, held a press conference on May 15 attended by the incoming president of the company, Katsuhiko Sakaguchi. Sawada is the chairman and CEO of H.I.S. Co., Ltd. and led HTB during its turnaround over the past nine years. Sawada will step down from his current position at the general meeting of shareholders on May 22 and will become a chairman after that. The two leaders of the company mentioned the importance of securing independence of HTB from H.I.S. as it aims to be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by around 2021. Source: Sankei News, 5/16/2019
