Fukuoka City revealed a rendering of the new Hakata Ward Office, scheduled to open in May 2022. Construction will begin on Aug. 29 on the neighboring plot of the current ward office (near Fujita Park.) The total floor space of the 10-story building will be 15,224 m2, including a cafe and event space on the first and second floors. Also, the ninth and tenth floors will be leased to tenants.
