Fukuoka Prefecture released ridership figures for the Fukuhoku Limousine Bus that connects Tenjin to Kitakyushu Airport in the early mornings and late evenings. In the six months since the 40-person bus went into service, average daily ridership only reached 5.5 passengers on the Tenjin-bound buses and 3.5 on the the Kitakyushu-bound ones. Although this represents an improvement over the first month of operation, ridership remains low. On rider surveys, the bus received positive marks since it links to the early Haneda-bound flights, effectively allowing travelers to spend up to 16 hours in Tokyo and still return to Fukuoka.
